Erik D. Olson
Erik D. Olson is an associate with the law firm of MacDonald Rudy O’Neill & Yamauchi, a Limited Liability Law Partnership, LLP. His practice is focused on will and trust litigation, conservatorships, guardianships, simple and complex probate matters, and other litigation matters for the firm.
Mr. Olson studied law at Cornell Law School and the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. He graduated with a joint J.D./Masters of German and European Law and Legal Practice (M.LL.P.) in 2005. During the M.LL.P. program, he worked for both small and multinational law firms and performed an internship with the lobbyists for an insurance association in Brussels, Belgium.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Olson practiced civil litigation with Ekimoto & Morris LLLC and Kobayashi Sugita and Goda, LLP in Honolulu. He was also a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the County of Maui.
Before law school, Mr. Olson was a graduate student in philosophy at the Freie Universität Berlin as a fellow of the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung (Hanns Seidel Foundation). He graduated from Kalamazoo College in Michigan.
Mr. Olson is licensed to practice in the State of Hawaii, the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii, Washington State, District of Columbia, and New York State (inactive).
