Christin D.W. Kawada received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a Certificate in Technical Writing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2010 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law in 2013.
During law school, Ms. Kawada completed externships with the Honorable Virginia Lea Crandall and the Honorable Derrick H. M. Chan at the First Circuit Court of the State of Hawaii. She also completed an externship with a local estate planning firm and then first became an associate attorney at MacDonald Rudy O’Neill & Yamauchi LLLP, LLP upon admission to the bar. Subsequently, Ms. Kawada worked with another Hawaii based law firm for approximately 8 years before rejoining the MacDonald Rudy team. Her current practice is focused on estate planning, probate, conservatorships and guardianships, trust and estate administration and litigation, although she also has years of experience dealing with real property leasing, conveyances and disputes, collections, and representing Taft-Hartley multiemployer trust funds.
Ms. Kawada is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the State of Hawaii and the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii. She is also a member of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association and a commissioned Notary Public in the State of Hawaii.
