Paul A. C. Higa is a partner with the law firm of MacDonald Rudy O’Neill & Yamauchi, a Limited Liability Law Partnership, LLP. His law practice is focused on will and trust litigation, estate planning, and simple and complex probate.

Mr. Higa received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2008 and his Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon in 2011, where he also served as an Article Editor and member of the Lewis & Clark Law Review.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Higa clerked for the Honorable Derrick H.M. Chan, Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of the First Circuit and presiding Judge of the Probate Court.

Mr. Higa is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and is licensed to practice in the State of Hawaii and the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.

MICHAEL D. RUDY is a founding partner of MacDonald Rudy O’Neill & Yamauchi, a Limited Liability Law Partnership, LLP. Mr. Rudy founded the firm in 1992 and has concentrated his practice over the last two decades in the area of trust and estate litigation in both state and federal courts. Mr. Rudy has litigated extremely large trust and estate litigation contests as well as more modest size disputes throughout the State of Hawaii. Mr. Rudy’s practice is focused on wills, estates and trust litigation, business transactions and formations, contested guardianships and conservatorships, simple and complex probate, business and real property disputes.
